Deepika Padukone Denied To Collaborate With Kartik Aaryan

Chhapaak actress Deepika Padukone recently in an exclusive interview with koimoi went all praises for Kartik Aaryan. Soon after, Pati Patni Aur Woh actor challenged filmmakers to make a film featuring the duo and reports of their collab went viral all across the internet. But looks like that isn’t happening anytime soon!

Deepika Padukone today at a media interaction refuted all the rumours around a collab, furthermore calling it all ‘just a fun Instagram banter’. When asked about whether a film with Kartik Aaryan is on the cards, the actress said, “With Kartik Aaryan, I’m not doing any film, there was just an Instagram banter. But I would definitely like to say that amongst the recent youngster’s lot, I love their energy. Be it me, Kartik or Ranveer (Singh), there’s a similarity that we don’t come with any kind of backing or family connection, nothing, zero, nowhere – we’re outsiders. So, to just come out of nowhere and understand a business like the film Industry, where almost every second or third person in our country wants to become an actor, we’re a chose few who get the opportunity. So Kartik also got an opportunity, I see the sincerity, hardwork and what I appreciate the most is that he’s not apologetic about it.

Furthermore, the actress shared to how she’s been too willing for a collab to take place but there’s nothing on the cards as of now. She also spoke about her collab with Gully Boy fame Siddhant Chaturvedi in her next. “As far as a film is concerned, no, there’s nothing right now. In fact, I’m working with Siddhant Chaturvedi in my next film, we’re starting in March, which is directed by Shakun Batra. With Kartik, I hope so (there’ll be something),” shared the Chhapaak actress.
