Nawazuddin Siddiqui's 'McMafia' Wins Big At Emmys 2019 & Fans Call It 'Well-Deserved'


Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is on cloud nine right now as his web series 'McMafia' bagged the 'Best Drama Series' award at the prestigious 47th International Emmy Awards 2019, that took place at the Hilton Hotel in New York.

Nawazuddin had no idea that he would make it this big in the cine industry without having a godfather; and also, it wasn't a cakewalk for the actor to make his presence felt in a way that now people respect him for his incredible acting skills.

He is one of the stellar actors that we know of, and he does make sure every time that all his characters look convincing on the big screen.

In McMafia, the 45-year-old actor played an Indian businessman Dilly Mahmood.

He took to his Twitter account to express his gratitude for winning a trophy along with his team. He wrote, “It's a pure delight to be receiving the beautiful winner trophy at the International Emmy Awards Gala in NewYork with one of my favourite Director James Watkins for our work McMafia.”

Fans, from across places, flooded his post with likes and comments calling him “well-deserved”. One of the users also added that “his journey is no less than a fairytale'. One user wrote, “A boy with mediocre looks, from a remote village, struggled for 16 long years, rejected umpteen times, holds Emmy award one day in his life. Truly a fairytale.”
