Shivaay Trailer Review: Ajay Devgn’s Directorial Is A Visually Stunning

The trailer of Ajay Devgn’s directorial Shivaay was finally released yesterday. The teaser had already created a huge buzz amongst the audience and now with a 3 minute plus trailer, the Diwali release has been on the top trends.

Starring himself along with debutante Sayyeshaa Saigal and Erika Kaar, the film’s trailer is intriguing on all levels. The trailer takes off with Ajay’s baritone saying an intense dialogue that means ‘It doesn’t have a beginning and it doesn’t have an end, it doesn’t belong to anybody. It is emptiness and it is everything that has Shivaay nesting in it.’

Along with his monologue that talks about Lord Shivaay and his various moods, the intense visuals of his character going through various phases can be seen. The visuals involving Bulgarian snow-clad mountains look breathtaking. Also, the chase sequences with the cars promise that the film could be a nail-biter.

Ajay stands out in the trailer while the two leading ladies do not get much attention. His scenes with child actor Isabel Eames show a warm chemistry between the two who will be seen as father-daughter in the film.

While the trailer stretches 3 minutes, there is not much one can make out of it. It may leave the audience slightly confused and hence the initial idea of releasing three trailers may have come into thought.

The songs featured in the trailer seem quite good consisting of a Mohit Chauhan track at start and another pacy number towards the end of it.

The film will be clashing with Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which revolves around relationships. Hopefully the other trailers of Shivaay may give us more insights into the storyline. If the film turns out to be too hard for people to decipher, it may cater to only a niche audience.

All in all, Shivaay trailer has certainly made us feel the waves, now it really has to drown us into its content to hit bulls eye!
