It is no more about any competition whatsoever. While the first Friday was all about seeing which film comes up trumps at the Box Office, the second Friday had the tables turned in a big way. While Rustom has been continuing to do quite well, Mohenjo Daro is now completely out of the reckoning.
Let’s talk about Rustom first. The film has seen further 4.5 crore* coming in yesterday. Considering the fact that the week gone by had a big weekend followed by Independence Day holiday and a partial (Rakhi) holiday, there was already a major chunk of audiences that had already watched the film in the 7 days gone by. However, going by the numbers that the film has generated on its eighth day as well, it is quite apparent that there is a lot of steam still in there for the film. The film has collected 95.5 crore* already and while 100 crore would be crossed today, a lot is still in store for the Akshay Kumar starrer.
As for Mohenjo Daro, it is now just collecting in bits and pieces. The film saw a mere 1.75 crore* collected at the Box Office on its second Friday which means the overall numbers currently are 53 crore*. The film would have a total of 57-58 crore by the time its second weekend is through and post that it would be all about wrapping it up in theaters.
